Do I have to undress completely?

  • No. I will ask you to undress to your comfort level, whatever that may be.

What information do I need to give you?

  • On your first visit, I will give you a Confidential Client Information Form to fill out. I will ask for your demographic information, as well as if you have any medical conditions of which I should be aware. I need to know this because certain conditions require different types of massage. For additional information, see Privacy Policy.

What are the benefits of massage?

  • For additional information, see Benefits of Therapeutic Massage.
  • Dilates the blood vessels, improving the circulation and relieving congestions throughout the body.
  • Acts as a mechanical cleanser, stimulating lymph circulation and hastening the elimination of wastes and toxic debris.
  • Relaxes muscle spasms and relieves tension.
  • Increases blood supply and nutrition to muscles without adding to their load of toxic lactic acid, produced through voluntary muscle contraction.
  • Increases the excretion (via the kidneys) of fluid and waste products of protein metabolism, inorganic phosphorus and salt in normal individuals.
  • Stretches connective tissue, improves its circulation and nutrition. In doing so, it breaks down or prevents the formation of adhesions and reduces the danger of fibrosis.
  • Improves the circulation and nutrition of joints and hastens the elimination of harmful deposits. It helps lessen inflammation and swelling in joints. By doing so, it reduces the feelings of pain.
  • Provides a positive environment for self-appreciation and nuturing.
  • Allows focus on awareness and expansion of breath.
  • Provides an excellent opportunity to learn how to relax your mind as well as your body.
  • Makes YOU Feel Good!

What can I expect after the massage?

  • Ultimately, it depends on the type massage you receive. Clients have different reactions. Some are energized and some are ready to take a nap. Either way, listen to your body. I will always ask you to over-hydrate (drink as much water as you can). Toxins are released into your body during the massage and over-hydrating substantially aids in flushing toxins from your body.
