Massage Techniques
Basic Swedish - A relaxing and revitalizing massage. An absolute stress reliever. Uses gentle, flowing, steady strokes.

Sports - Facilitates cleansing metabolic waste from muscle tissue. Uses deeper, firmer strokes. Includes range of motion evaluation, stretching and therapeutic techniques to relieve sore and overworked muscles.

Deep Tissue - Slow direct pressure and some trigger point addressing chronically tense muscles, such as backs strained by desk bound posture. Ideal for those working high stress jobs or who exercise strenuously.

Myofacial Release - Gentle pressure and body positioning are used to relax and stretch the muscles, fascia (connective tissue) and related structures. Both Physical Therapists and Massage Therapists use this technique.

Cranio-Sacral Balancing - This technique is extremely gentle and non-intrusive, yet very specific. The therapists attention is on the Cranio Sacral Rhythm. A very subtle movement and light touch is applied on the cranial bones, the sacrum and the interconnected membranes. After a session, you will feel deeply relaxed and balanced.

Lymphatic - A highly effective technique for purifying and rejuvenating the body by stimulating the lymph drainage systems. It helps flush out toxins and activate the immune system.

Chair - A quick fix for relief of tension for a person who only has a few minutes. Client remain clothed for this technique.

Trigger Point - Locating and de-activating trigger points that may cause or refer pain to other parts of the body. Usually used in conjunction with Deep Tissue and Sports Massage.

Medical - A combination of varied massage techniques to help alleviate symptoms of many medical conditions

Head & Scalp - A gentle, Kneading compression and accupressure over the scalp, neck and shoulders and face. Helps with insomnia, Sinus headache, Tension headache and Migraine.

Accupressure - Physical pressure applied to center points using fingertips, hands, elbows, fore arm and knee and various specialized massage tools.

Pregnancy - Relieves lower back pain and other discomforts associated with pregnancy. Improves circulation and reduces problems with swelling, varicose veins and leg cramps. Can help with the pain caused by the sciatic nerve.

Geriatric - A gentle massage for relaxation and stress relief. A beneficial tool for fighting many of the symptoms of aging. Can reduce anxiety levels. Great for those who are bedridden.

Reflexology (Foot Reflexology) - Among the ancient healing arts and sciences, this dynamic technique addresses the vital energy in the body. This process uses specific accupressure and massage applied to the major reflex points and meridians on the feet and hands. Helps relieve the pain associated with Plantar Fasciatis.

Water Shiatsu - An aquatic massage combines stretches of Shiatsu with the nuturing of gently floating in a warm pool. It is deeply relaxing and specifically therapeutic.

Hot Stone Therapy - Warm stones ae srategically placed on the body. Then the whole body is massaged with the stones. Very soothing for those with arthritis or PMS discomfort. Also great for warming the muscles for a Deep Tissue Massage.

Aromatherapy - This massage includes the use of essential oils and scented oils, according to your needs and preferences. Oils are applied through massage. Stimulates the immune system, healing injured tissue. This is not recommended for pregnant women.

Hydrotherapy - Several different applications are used to assist with Massage Therapy. Hydrotherapy could consist of hot and cold packs, baths, saunas, hot tubs and showers. Topical gels and creams may be used to further the healing process.

Mayan Massage - Non-invasive external massage technique, by proper positioning of the abdominal organs. Helps with irregular periods, low back aches, infertility and varicose veins in women. Helps with prostate swelling and inflammation, frequent urination and impotency in men, This technique works with relieving congestion and blockages to prevent the progression of chronic diseases.

Aesthetics

European Facial - A deep cleansing personalized to your skin type. Includes steam, exfoliation, extractions, mask, and massage of the face, shoulders and hands.

Teen Facial - Basic deep cleansing, extractions and mask.

Backcial - Deep cleansing for the back to remove excess oils and debris. Exfoliation with mineral salts polishes away dullness, (extractions performed as necessary). Lastly, a therapeutic massage with essential oils and a customized mask will leave you relieved and your skin radiant.

Microdermabrasion - A controlled stream of microcrystals over the skin, delivered through a special hand piece. By gently polishing the skin and removing dead skin cells and other buildup, it is possible to improve many skin conditions and imperfections that lead to premature aging. Available for Face, Neck, Back, Chest, Arms and Hands.

Waxing - Removal of unwanted hair using warm wax for Brow, Lip, Chin, Full Face. Arms, Legs, Bikini, Under arms and Back.

Body Treatments - All over deep cleansing designed to exfoliate, remove impurities and refine the skin and improve circulation. A short massage follows. I use a Sugar Scrub for sensitive skin and a Salt Glow for normal to oily skin.

Spa Hand Treatments - The ultimate in smoothing and toning to prevent premature aging of the hand. A thorough exfoliation is followed by a parafin dip, and a relaxing reflexology hand massage. Sunscreen is applied to protect against further damage.

Anti-Stress Foot Therapy - Relieves stress and poor circulation. The feet are exfoliated and treated to a parafin dip to restore moisture. A reflexology massage to de-stress the body, mind and spirit with aromatherapy oils to rejuvenate and nourish.
